How much are we talking for a bluefin @Johnny 99 ? I paid £800 for a scorpion resonated cat back exhaust supplied and fitted and a re-map on the rolling road at engine dynamics. If the exhaust was £500 supplied and fitted that only leaves £300 for the re-map. Bet that's cheaper than the bluefin? There isn't much information about these and I assume for a reason - if they were worthwhile then there would likely be a lot more of them about.
A custom remap is a lot more expensive, but much better all round and worth the money, if that's the route someone wanted to go down

Be interesting to find out...
I've more chance of knobbing Kylie MinogueSurprised at how cheap that is to be fair @Jimmy wonder why you don't hear of them like Johnny said at top of thread?
+12bhp sounds optimistic

Have been for twenty years
Yes as you guys have been saying 12bhp seems a lot for a generic map. I'm off to RS Tuning on Friday for a proper map. I'd like to see my mate's blue finned car on the same rollers for comparison.
After me boy!!!She's old enough to be my mother but I'd still have a pop!
I have a Blue Fin map in my R27. It was done by the previous owner to eliminate the kangarooing/flat spot not for power gains as the car is standard (apart from ITG filter). My car runs smooth from cold with no issues. I have read so much cr@p about these online e.g. 12 bhp gains, runs too lean, runs too rich, stay well clear etc. I would agree if you are changing the full exhaust then a custom map would be an advantage but if you want a smooth power delivery the Blue Fin is perfect.Just curious as to whether anyone has used one of these & what gains were achieved. I have a friend used one on his Clio. Wondered if there were any issues with them. Not the route I'm taking, but just curious.
