Right guys I need your opinions on black code. I'm being offered a terraclean and a remap package for £300 but their remap figures are shall we say optimistic. With an induction kit and exhaust system they are telling me that I can see gains of 35bhp and 44ftlb of torque. From what I can gather those figures are impossible but what are your views on the company themselves. Im probably going to get a remap done elsewhere that's tried and tested with the reanaultsport owners ni Facebook page with a dyno etc but il probably do the terraclean separate at some stage.

Black code maps are just generic remaps. Basically they just modify your current map down a phone line, usually pretty poorly. Stick with a custom rolling road from the likes of RS Tuning.
The interesting thing about black code is that their business is mainly built upon selling franchises as opposed to selling maps.
As for the terraclean on all accounts it's pretty good. Monstersport Europe who operate both the Michelin Clio Cup and Twingo R2 rally series for Renault swear by it and use it on the race cars.
