Big Bens non Clio

Awesome read. Similar priorities to my project (I really need to start a thread...)

AD08s are awesome tyres. Aren't those Laguna wheels really heavy though?
Thanks mate.

When I changed them over from the standard Clio alloys you could tell there was a weight difference unfortunately.

Think someone did a comparison recently and it was as much as 2kg a corner.

Not ideal for racing but I think they look decent:wink:

Really glad to hear that things are sorted for you Ben, it must be a massive weight off your mind! Things do happen for a reason as they say, so perhaps that RR day came just at the right time

Went to work for a couple of hours this morning only to come home and find the missus and Son had cleaned my car:fearscream:

To be fair they'd used all the correct products... it only took me an hour to put right:grinning:

Couple of photos. Who can spot the new addition to my car cleaning kit in the background?

I've started saving for B14's:wink:

Outdoor tap at the front.....

A self-retracting hose, outdoor plug and tap to the side are high on my list of wants right now too.

You don't know how jealous one man can be of that picture........

Well spotted that man:grinning:

Refurbed the downstairs loo so was perfect opportunity to fit an outside tap whilst the plumber was here.

Ordered a kink free expanding hose! Can stash it away when not using it.

Just need an outdoor power point now...

God it looks gorgeous mate. Those wheels still make me happy!

SO wish we had somewhere proper to clean ours.

Lol at the hour to correct it  at least the proper products were used, and not fairy liquid and a flannel

Good work with the outside tap Ben! I would also appreciate a dedicated cleaning area too

Quiet spell for the car as contemplating selling. Did the quick 1 hour clean on Sunday as crap weather was forecast.
Did see a quick video of Brunodias making his map sensor fit tighter so gave that a whirl. Bit of plumbers ptfe tape and voila. Fits like a err glove

Couple of photos

Yep still for sale.

Wouldn't be the end of the world if I keep it.

Still love driving it:grinning:

Nice Ben !

I gave my Map Sensor a bit of a pull to try to remove it when i first got the car - but it wasn't budging easily. I then tie-wrapped it - but might well now go for some PTFE tape too.

Did yours come out fairly easily. Warm the engine prior to 'tugging' ? (Cant think of no better term right now  )

Yeah a short journey is required beforehand to warm the block a bit. Then unplug lead and give it a twist and rock it about a bit before giving it a "tug". Popped out easy with little force.
