Anyone Running a Lithium Battery on a Daily?

I've been thinking about relocating my battery in order to fit an R3 Maxi airbox and, as I am going to all that effort, I wondered about changing to a lithium battery, maybe like this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PS-09-NE...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Has anyone used one on a daily driven car? It would have some advantages, in that I'm not keen on having a wet battery inside the car, and obviously it's a lot lighter (not really critical on my car I admit), but I worry about its capacity and ability to survive winters etc.

I probably wouldn't have bothered to be honest, but I think the whole lockdown thing has taken it out of my existing battery a bit, so it might make sense to strike while the iron is hot. I had an Odessey in my old Escort rally car and wasn't that impressed. It wasn't that light and was quite expensive.

Any experience or recommendations anyone?

Can't help with a lithium battery, but if you are going to relocate it, many people use BMW battery cables, as when I had my E36 trackcar I had so many Clio boys messaging for the cable when I was selling bits (I was putting it back to standard so didn't sell it though) and I've seen a few people use it as it's good gauge thickness etc.

Lithium Batteries

ive used these exact battery’s from a and g and never had a problem
Used them daily on a evo 5 and a 2005 Scooby
Great battery’s , never failed to start but you do have to watch how long you have say the radio when on ignition only
Alan and grace have sold hundreds of these to the Hillclimbing guys and I’ve never seen a complaint
Maybe go onto the site uphill racers and ask their opinion ,
I found these battery’s charge from a car ok and used a c-tek charger when away on holiday ,
I see they now supply a charger for this
And When you are first handed the battery you think it’s just a plastic casing It’s so light and when it does start up the car it’s like magic
Only one problem is that they are that small and light they do look a little silly siting were a huge battery used to be

And it always starts ok? Have you checked the voltage drop over the course of the week? It would be interesting to see how it stands up to it

I was more than 15 days without using the car and there was no problem.

I have tried to start and stop the engine up to 5 times in a row and it kept starting without problem.

the problem with lithium batteries is that they can withstand low temperatures very badly, but where I live there are no problems with that

But I don’t think anyone believes me how light They are and how good they work

I was running a Braille Lithium battery on my car for more than a year - never really had a problem but I had to be sure to disconnect when I'd be away or not driving it for more than a month. If Lithium batteries go flat then they are dead. Saying that, all the latest items have some sort of protection for going entirely flat - not sure on the PS-09.

Benefits - apart from weight - is that they charge very quickly and they are tiny meaning that they can be fitted everywhere or even upside down - sort of speech.

I've now removed the Braille from the Clio and fitted it on the Lotus which has a cutoff switch from the factory so no issues there, I'm however very temped by the PS-20. I think the PS-09 might be a bit small for our cars given that we have a 075 battery.
