impressive teammates as well. didn't know volker strycek was still driving.
He is and his experience in terms of setting the car up was crucial in the 24h race
Btw.: Bought a new suspension for my green 200. Bilstein BMR14 Stage 2 from Madeno Racing and also a full kit of polyurethane bushings all around. Should be a fine car when those parts and the new engine are in
The car is up and running again since June and the new engine is nearly broken in by now
Some pictures from our little trip to the Alps last week
Ahh you're mates with Janis Waldow - I follow him on IG so caught a glimpse of the clio in some of his posts. Did a similar trip myself in July. (some pics on IG - user temeeo)
How do you rate the Madeno BMR kit? I presume it's the fast road version not the clubsport stuff? Does it use stock top mounts in front?
Yes, we're good friends and even share a pit garage at VLN
I really enjoy the new suspension and trust Leo from Madeno absolutely to get the best product for my needs.
We run his Öhlins-products in our race cars for years and won several championships and races with them.
The BMR kit (fast road version) is a perfect choice for backroad driving but still more "comfortable" then the stock dampers (which were 9 years old though ...). The car feels more planted and doesn't loose the contact to the road any more over hard bumps. At the moment I use stock top mounts and still need to put in the new bushings into the suspension parts. So I hope it will get even more direct for next year
Awesome, thanks for the feedback and good luck at the races this weekend! (what car, team are you in so that I could keep an eye out while watching the live stream?)
Thank you, I'm in our Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport (Team "Aimpoint Racing", number 964) in Class "Cup3" together with my dad
Cool, found few pictures of the car in pits from VLN 4.
That's me in the black race suit on the second picture next to the marshal
