So I finally collected my 197 today after buying it 2weeks ago. It's a 56 on 58k and pulls like a train.
This was my previous car an Audi TT 225 roadster, fantastic car but highly impractical. Changed a few parts like V6 rear valance, LED lights, cruise control, iPod connection and completely detailed the paintwork.
Before I bought the 197 it needed a couple of scuffs painting and a full alloy refurb as they were scuffed and painted black. I ask them to change the colour to anthracite to compliment the blue. Brand new tyres, Cambelt and water pump have been done.
One thing I am disappointed about is it doesn't have xenon head lights which I was sure it had so I am looking to upgrade the bulbs as they're terrible. Any suggestions?
Plans:
Install a new head unit, looking at a Kenwood KDC BT73DAB with Pioneer TS E1302i rear speakers (doesn't have any) and Pioneer TS A1323i for the front.
Exterior and interior LED lights
Full paintwork correction as it's full of swirls with regular waxing to help protect the paint but that will have to wait till spring so until then I'll clay the car, seal then wax.
Only taken one photo today before taking it for a blast into the Yorkshire dales
