put aircon on to clear screen,and its not working.light comes on but can't hear compresser click on and revs don't change.any ideas.

If your not hearing the compressor. Either a fuse has popped, or it is suffering some other form of electrical fault.

Or the gas pressure is low. Aircon systems will automatically disable themselves in such an event.

My air con has never worked. lol. Think I just need them to get it sorted when it goes in for its service after christmas.

if its to cold (and its minus out there) it wont come on - i think if its under 4degree the air con will not switch on as it can cause freezing of the system

what not at all.i thought the compresser would fire up to clear the screen.but what you say does sound right. just checked the fuse and that was ok.thanks.

mine too. took 2 years for them to get around to fitting a new one though. after just resetting it 6 times before then.

yes mine wont click in cold weather but works fine in warmer weather why would you need it if its baltic outside ?

Is mine the only one that switches the air-con on when you are clearing the window then?

Seems strange when the only time you ever clear a window is when it is cold!

Got in mine tonight and the temp was showing -2 degrees and couldn't hear the air-con pump click in.

But when you press the demister function 'AC' lights up??:confused1:
