a few crappy pics of my gw cup

Fudge me, your going all out on this.

Awesome.

Thats it for the moment!

My definite to do list is now quite small:

Replace Recaros with Recaro pole position arbs with sliding subframes and alloy sidemounts..Saving 20kg approx.

Rear seat removal and cage fitment..+/- a few kgs either way.

Race battery and cage..Saving 6-8kg approx.

These along with my other fitted mods should reduce the weight between 45-48kgs approx..making it around 1156kg.

However im seriously tempted to make my own Clio version of the Megane .R
luckily i dont have to worry about kids as mine are grown up!
Therefore i have another list!

Considering to do list is:

Removal of stereo and fitting lightweight door cards..Saving 12kg approx.

Fitting polycarbon rear screen and 3/4 glass..Saving 10-15kg approx.

Removal of rear wiper and motor assembly..Saving 1kg.

Watch this space i guess 8)

Thats a nice list. Most of which I wanna get done (Will get done eventually), with the exception of the rear wiper (I get annoyed when I cant see out the back).

Its having a new clutch fitted and lower engine tie bar thingy as every now and then in slow traffic i just felt it abit. Thought it made sense to have the clutch done now rather than later as like you say.......labour costs would be a joke! So trying to make the best of the situation at the moment.

Having said that both RUK and Smiths Renault have helped me out a great deal as already said.

Got a Clio eco warrior courtesy thingy! Its nice to drive and will do me fine for now. Cant wait to get the R27 back but at the same time they can have it for as long as they need it.....would rather let them take their time on it.

Woodbridge 25/6/11

Well another fun time at this 2 mile airfield circuit.
Although this time it was a wet then damp then dry then damp then finally a dry day on circuit.
Because of the weather uncertainty i opted to stay with my oz fitted with the contis and just managed the temps all day. not as grippy as my rsr`s but survived well.

It was also my girlfriends 1st trackday 8)
The morning session she hated as she got motion sickness..no doubt a mixture of my driving style and the twisties...However in the afternoon she couldnt get enough and loved it.
Hi-lights for her were seeing a 420bhp scooby overtake me on the straight then lose it directly in the nxt corner and eat some shrubbery whilst we just motored past. Then on the very nxt lap a blue stripped peugeot 306 not wanting to be caught by the Clio..lost it on the same bend and we again just motored past.
She was like `Ooh i think they ran out of talent!` 8)

Lots of track time and the Clio never missed a beat. Unfortunately the same scooby from above blew up in the afternoon causing a large oil slick on a straight leading into a sharp 2nd gear left hand bend...added to the provenance thou but i felt sorry for him as he was a nice guy.

Only 15-20 cars there.
Hi-lights for me were getting a passenger ride in the Atom 245 (fookin fast!)
and chasing the Porshe gt3s in the bends.
Roll on the next 1!

Ps:
kws proved great on track..hardly any roll and just suited the car so well and the 2 piece disks were fade free 8)

Me about to be Atomised. Red scooby in background later blew!

Forgot to post a pic of the new seats that i had recently swapped/purchased from Stu.
As upholstered by Edge.
The leather/alcantara combo goes so well with the GW and just lifts its interior to another level.
It was these that stopped me selling my own recaros and getting fixed buckets.
