200 Tow strap bolt

I've no idea how this will fit but for the amount of effort gone into it I'm happy to put my name down if it goes ahead.

Ok chaps: after a lot of faffing around, many ideas lobbed in the pot and tbf me not taking enough interest in the design hoping someone else was going to do the legwork......we have a Stainless ‘Proto’ I’m posting to the new owner today:

A4 Stainless, 30mm of thread on the chassis end. Nut welded on other end to aid securing. M12 internal thread strap end for tow strap to attach too. Stainless bolt and washer supplied.

Let’s see how this goes.....

This one has been asked for and made at 206mm total length.

I can’t comment on how that will work in reality - but have asked for pictures of it fitted which I will update here with.

These can easily then be made and adjusted to suit.......individually if needed.

That makes the shank about 165mm, I'm sure the one I made was either a 165mm or 170mm shank

I trimmed the bottom edge off the tow eye cover allowing the strap to sit vertically

I've not so much as tried it on my car. But i'm sure that info will help a few others.

The one i've made isn't with the new owner yet i doubt. I will post pictures of it fitted when i have them.

If you want me to make you one after seeing the proto fitted; i can customise length to whatever you'd like.

When I made mine I used a laguna towing eye (around 2003 model) and cut the end off leaving around 65mm poking out of the crash bar.

Then after cutting a slot in it I welded a tow strap to it.
