200 Dampers on a 197

Anybody know if the 200 dampers will go straight onto a 197 without modification?

Yes and No answers only please, no "should do's"

Before a certain year they will mate. I'm sure someone will confirm it but think its late 2010 onwards are different so anything before be a straight swap.

i was in renault today checking out top mounts

Mine is a 60 plate and has the newer, smaller top mount.

A 59 plate they checked had the older mounts. Only thing we didnt check was a 10 plate.

So if you have a 197 you will be safe using up to a 59 plate 200 shocks.

Shame, as im about to put cup shocks on mine, you coulda had my 200ff shocks

The top mount changed from the second half of 2010. I got 200 cup dampers from a 10 plate car, they fitted spot on.

99% sure they're not interchangeable which is the problem people have with retrofitting various suspension setups.

i dont think it really makes much difference. just one of those constant developments
