anyone know what happened to this? is this one of the cars that died? or was it just turbo kits that blew the engines?

the car probably died lol heavy tuning on standard engine is a no go. a definate recipe for disaster.

That was GDI's / Omex's throttle body kit, they built it purely as a prototype test kit with no intention of public sale, I did enquire at the time to Andy and he said the setup cost in excess of 5k but he was willing to replicate the kit one more time for me. Too expensive though.

Car produced 240bhp with massively improved mid range torque on a dyno. After GDI and Omex split it was the death of that and only the one was made, resides in France i think now...

They ended up having to use a similar manifold design as standard because they couldnt fit them behind the cross member/bumper and still keep a long enough trumpet for max performance.

Hence it was actually fairly quiet at the final stage.

yeah the ones ive seen on 172's in the flesh are awesome. i was going to do this instead of SC but SC is more fun lol
