18mm change in offset

Hi guys,

I have a 197 and want some new rims. I've found some Speedlines in 17" 7.5j, ET50 for a really good price.

They'll protrude out 18mm over the standard rims without using spacers, is that excessive in terms of handling (road, not track)? I wasn't looking to adjust the springs at this stage so they're the normal non-cup ones on it.

Cheers.

Would be almost the same as using 20mm spacers (which lots of people opt for) so I think it would look alright?

Would probably want the car lowered if not already though otherwise it might look a bit odd

ET45 is fine. They'll fill the arches nicely, but will look funny unless the car is lowered
