182 Cup Passed Its MOT!

Good news my 182 Cup passed its MOT today with 1 advisory on the rear brake pipe slightly corroding around the plastic holders. I look after the car myself and the MOT guy is impressed with the condition. Not bad for a 12 year old car.

Cheers guys because it's an older car and this time of year it's always good to hear it's passed. Can't bear to part with it but must use the R27 more often.

Rear is the same and the front has lower springs and Sachs dampers that need regularly serviced.

My faithful 182 passed its MOT with no advisories today. It will be 13 years old on the 18th December. Apart from servicing and wear and tear items the wee car has been brilliant over the 6 years I've had it. I can't part with it!

Silver diamonds & orange indicator bulbs! Just as it should be. Glad it passed with no issues again. I echo your comment from last year that you need to use the R27 more often though!

I know John I've promised it a trip down south to one of the BSB rounds next year to stretch its legs. The trouble is I've got the bike aswell so have been spending some time and money on the R1 over the winter. TBH in the good weather I would rather be on the bike than in the car.

Yeah I get that, though my biking days are over.☹ I can't be bothered getting into leathers on a hot day when I can jump into the Clio in a t-shirt & shorts. Did the biking thing in all weathers as my daily transport for years but happy to hoon the Clio now. I'd dearly like see your R27 if we ever have a Scottish meet as it'd be lovely to see such an example of the car.

Fair play to you John at least you have had the experience of 2 wheels. I would like to show the car off more but time is precious at the moment with work, family and looking after my mum. Never say never for a meet at some point in the future mate.

When I'm I'm ready to sell I'll give you a shout mate. It wants for nothing and I just stuck 4 new Pilot Sports 3s on it. It's funny how some cars you get attached to more than others. The last time I felt like this was with a F plate Escort XR3i.
