5w30 - petrols for maximum economy

5w40 - petrols all engines

i wouldnt go "thicker" its either recommended or "thinner" oil and whether semi or full synthetic!

stick to 5w40 only!

thats why the 1*2's suffered from so many dephaser issues. Because people weren't servicing them often enough and using the wrong grade's of oil.
