oh and thanks to @BenAG200 for the help and the advice
Not a problem at all mate. I think it's a great change to the back end of these cars.
Spoke to mark fish and safety device today who where both really helpful and I should have a full set of bolts tomorrow so over the weekend I can continue
Hard work done - just a bit of swapping over to doo. Which will be most pleasant as i'm sure you've grafted today !
Your momentum on your car is non-stop. Full on indeed !
I'm no track-fiend.....but i imagine the cage must stiffen everything up hugely ?
yeah full bolt in and i didn't weigh it before it went in sorry..very nice..so its a bolt on cage??whats the weight pls??
It's 20mm higher due to the way the top mount sits but we'll see after tonight if not to get the "look" I'll have to get the splitter which I do wanna do eventually
What's the difference in design on the compbrake mounts? I've just put some on a set of b14's too and have struggled to get the front where it should be. At the moment I've got the b14's adjusted within the range specified by Bilstein (the measurement from collar to bolt centre) - but the front's springs are actually loose on droop, which I found odd given I'm within their measurements. You would have assumed their measurements at the lowest point would still keep a marginal pre-load on the spring.
Got me thinking maybe the topmounts are to blame? And possibly why I have a knock since fitting, could be the spring moving?
cheers
