Looking good. What is your final spec with suspension, engine, box, ecu, etc? I'm starting mine in the new year, ready for 2017 season.

For me, the feel with the booster is much better. It makes it feel normal! And yes, it'll be interesting to see how it compares. I've a couple of changes to be made to the 172, which should increase its power, so will be good to see how it goes at Snetterton next time out.

A good day today. Car ran well for its first outing. Difficult to see its full potential when the car is running on completely standard tyres and set up. I think the car is probably only 3/4 seconds behind the 172, which isn't bad for a full fat road going car!

So got the Clio on the dyno today, before and after fitting the new exhaust. Started with an earth shattering 159bhp! Amazing how much they loose! After the exhaust was fitted, and with some tweaking, we got it up to 192bhp, which was much better. On the drive home, you really could feel the...

Just fitted a Sprint Booster! What a good bit of kit! The difference is immense! So much more responsive!

Bit of menial work on the car today. Mended a few broken bits. Electric control for the wing mirrors wasn't working, and neither was the boot lock. Both have been replaced. I also stuck the cat back on, to stop the horrific noise the exhaust made! To be fair, it's a really boring sound now...

I use CL RC8's on my racer. The difference fromDS2500 was massive! I have a ate who uses DS1.11 and he doesn't rate them as much. They are VERY hard though, and would be awful on a road car

Thanks for that. Does the 200 valance fit the 197? I'd imagine it's easier just to change it?

I've got a typhoon ECU in my 172, and have a mate who races a 197 with the same. I'd probably go down that route again, as it seems to work well for me. When I put the Throttle Bodies on, I changed the throttle cable and ECU at the same time. I'm sure it was around £1500, plus the bodies.

Isn't it a big job to change the cable throttle and ecu? I will be putting a standalone ECU in when I convert it, but wasn't looking to do that yet
