Hello! Noticed this recently... When doing a turn in the road and manouvering at slow speeds, there is a nasty grinding / squeeking noise that always happens coming from the front... Any ideas what to check? Cheers

Great... Mine has the same issue when going into third. Mines a 57 plate with around 50k on the clock. I got the car from a none renault garage, but did get an extended 3 year warrenty on it. Hopefully this is covered! Ill check tonight.

As above... Doesnt really happen when going slow, but as soon as you put your foot down, 2nd to 3rd crunches - even when the clutch is all the way down! Really annoying, as people probably think i can't drive! Any ideas??

Just done it myself, got myself some 63.5mm stainless steel piping and went for it! Sounds mint, flat spot isnt bad I dont think - get it done!

Cheers guys. Im going to have a look at it today. Hopefully nothing will need replacing, Im guessing something isnt tightened properly, as it never made any noises before the manifold got replaced.

Just had my manifold changed, and obv the subframe has to be lowered as well as bits taken off... Now its all fixed up and running good, there is a knocking noise when i break or manouver when turning round etc... Def from the front of car. Any ideas? Ide rather do it myself as the garage that...

Hi guys, Got a replacement manifold (standard 197 one) as mine was knackard. Anyone know anyone who can help me / fit it for me in the manchester area asap, for as cheap as poss!! Not been able to drive it in nearly 2 weeks, starting to miss it now!! Thanks in advance

Got the standard manifold in the end as a replacement. The other was a bi dodgy looking, as they claim horsepower is "housepower". Just need it fitting now. Anyone got any ideas of cost at a garage?

Ive had the same prob with my Flexi's... Was going to just replace them, but got quoted £170 all in, seems way too much for something that wont make any dif! Found a new manifold off ebay, looks pretty good I think. Any idea how it would fit on to a standard system, as this only has one end...

Hi guys... My flexi pipes on my 197 are knackard and so its blowing from them! Anyone else had this problem? Whats the best thing to do? Replace the manifold?? I found one on ebay for £195, an aftermarket one...

Do you know what its called? Unscrewing from the rod end looks easy enough. Ive found the ball joint bit, that has a little blue plastic ring on one end which spins round.
