Hi Not been on here in ages, I still have my 197 I bought in 2009. still original gearbox I might add. just wondered if any of the original forum members from back then were still on the go and had there clios. iv had a couple cars since then but have never wanted to part with my 197 its taken...

if you adjust the hand brake so that it only take 3 to 5 clicks to work, then start the car press pump the brake peddle and then pull the hand brake on, it adjust the the ratchets in the rear calipers, thus takes the slack up. foxspeed may explain it better.

sorry to hear that Roy, i know of a guy with a similar problem, hes a roofer aswell and had a black out driving the van home, now hes got no license, and not aloud back on a roof for a year. just got to think positive mate.

i adjusted the hand brake today, and then it took up loads of travel in the peddle, been needing done for a while now, cant belive how much of a difference it has made.

i could mabe jump in on this too if iam home, if its ok of course?
