I thought I'd share this special car with you. It's 1 of 42 in the UK, it's 1 of 3 in this colour; Shell Mica. Therefore you are unlikely to see any other detailer in this country working on one like this!! :jase2:
This particular car was shown on an Episode of Top Gear earlier this year, I...
Only 6-8hrs. You padawans disappoint me. In my early days I was working two jobs, leaving one at 5 and cracking on with detailing work til midnight. You try putting in 40hrs on a single car, in the evenings after your day job ends, all in a week!!!
Nowadays it's detailing full time, sometimes...
Make sure you buff off the residue left behind by the LP mate. But once you've done that jump in with the wax. LP is only a pre-wax cleaner with a very small amount of abrasive, so little infact, it's not even classed as a polish... hence "pre-wax cleaner". It contains glazing oils which help...
Thanks for the comments guys, I thought you might like this one!
Re: paint - if you want a very specific colour then I usually ask you to provide it, or at least a sample so I can get some made. The problem when being so specific is that there's not such a wide variation of colours in VHT...
Hey guys,
I have had my back to the wall for weeks now and not had much time for forums!! I send my sincere apologies as I know quite a few of you are starting to follow my work and I have taken a provisional booking from a chap on here who's awaiting delivery of his new car!!
Just...
Thanks again guys :)
I have so many different things I could show you, leather re-colouring, wheel refurbs etc. It's difficult to know what to show you next. I have recently started using the Rupes 'Big Foot' polishing system which I have done a few trials with on my personal cars to gain a...
Cheers mate. I love detailing, and there's nothing better than causing some serious damage to a clients wallet whilst doing so lol :lol:
Just one of me is enough. If you can't bring the mountain to mohammed, bring mohammed to the mountain.. ;)
Look on ebay for Aeleous pet dryers. Same thing...
Helps to transport loose dirt away from the surface, and by leaving it to cling to the paintwork for a few minutes it's also softening the more stubborn dirt. It's no miracle spray on spray off cleaning product, but certainly helps with the cleaning process and to avoid inflicting extra swirl...
And then onto the final pictures you've been waiting for :D
The Best of Show reacts with sunlight and warmth, as it's enriched in essential oils, so it works best if left out in the sun... this was the morning of collection;
And...
Hello all,
Not got any Clio's to post up yet!!
This is the same treatment as on offer to regular members @ £220, and gold/plat @ £195. Regular price to the rest of the world is £240! So you're getting a bargain!!
Process;
• Vehicle rinsed then snow foam applied to suspend dirt and...
It doesn't just end at a machine polisher though mate - there's the pads, the polish, and not to mention a paint thickness gauge. By the time you add it all up and the hours spent learning how to use all the equipment, you'll have spent more than what it would cost to have it detailed by a pro...
Yes, that's right, you go to head office and they give you an overview of their products and then ask you to demonstrate how to use them on a demo vehicle... what they didn't tell you is that these people who are being accredited are paying £1500+vat for this. The marketing angle is that these...
With Swissvax you actually "buy in" to the programme - yes you have to go to head office and do a basic course but thats more to learn how to use their products, rather than assess your true skill. Local competitor to me is a SD, and he's rubbish, half of the amateurs in the showroom section of...
Thanks guys!!
I was taken out by the owner of the place in his Centennial Edition Z06, and sweet jesus that was a fast! In a life time of the motor industry in prestige and performance motors I've been out in some quick shizzle (and expensive shizzle, lol), but the Z06 was probably the...
Hey guys and girls,
Still waiting on my first Clio booking - hint hint - so until I do, you'll have to put up with me showing you some other work. I have loads of things to show you, a GTR sticks out in my mind, along with an Evo VIII... oh, a couple of 'vettes (this one and another!), and of...
I can safely say I managed to avoid sticking my hand in my pocket when I got home!!
Was a good little meet - burger wasn't bad either!! Litchy's cammed 197 looked and sounded the business!
I'll get some more work posted up as and when. I do have a new C-Class I detailed not so long back that's worth a look.
Who's going to be the first Clio though???
Is this not 1998??? :panic:
