Certainly would! My only thought is that the new Megane could be better, but as of this moment in time i'm team Hyundai. (Never thought i would say that!) :tonguewink:

I'd really recommend one, they are certainly a special car that flys under most people's radar.

Yeah I’m all good, crash wasn’t too bad really! My other option on an LSD car is to meg the clio, but I really like the newer meganes and it would seem like a logical step.

More updates! DOH! Heading up to Scotland for work a couple of weeks back I hit a patch of standing water on the M74 and aquaplaned into a lorry. My own fault really, didn't think the puddle was that deep, how wrong I was! This now meant that the company car was off the road until it can get...

197 alternatives for the same ish money.

I looked at an FN2 Type R, interior was miles better than the Clio but didn't drive anywhere near as raw. A lovely car for a daily but didn't have the special feel of a 197. Clios really excel at that special feel, maybe its just me but they are like baby GT3s.

    197: Shall I or shouldn't I?

Noooo! My friend had a 325 Coupe and Jesus did it like to go wrong! Cooling systems need a refresh around 100k. The e46 wears suspesension bushes pretty quickly, the prop doughnuts perish. Then there’s the driving experience, the engine is smooth but more of a cruiser. The handling isn’t...

    Hello all!

Get a new one on there and tie it down with a couple of cable ties, should be right as rain after that!

Howdy! One piece of advice, you will get a shock the first time you drive one. Coming from a 1.8t you'll find the Clio has bugger all torque, but rev it out and you will love it!

    Hello all!

Welcome! It could very well be the reason you are having the issue. Its worth looking at the MAP sensor too as these are prone to coming loose and causing all sorts of issues.

I love black coffee, grind up a serious amount of beans weakly. But if i was on this diet i'd be shaking! Best of luck with it.

    Big Bens non Clio

If it's worth my 2p. I have just done a soaking wet trackday at Silverstone. Brand new PS4's up front, some worn Conti SC3 on the rear. Front grip was fantastic, no under steer at all and had good traction. (admittedly i'm on a stock motor) Rear was pretty loose, but that's how i like this...

100% After having a really good look around one they are made with a crazy attention to detail, the interior is something else. The engine sounds really nice and revs up so freely. I have been offered a test drive but it would feel very cheeky! This one is delicious...

    Whiney when cold

My 197 is exactly the same, seems to go away once warm. It's a case of "They all do that sir" :grinning:

Another update! More track time! After the "Beast from the east" hit England pretty hard the first pistonheads Sunday service was cancelled, but it had been rescheduled for the upcoming bank holiday, so all was not lost. I had time to wear the tires in and get used to the cars new found pointy...
