They're all like that on cold-start. Until it gets past the first temp gauge line (sort of the second one - depending if you say 0 or 1 for the first!) and then it comes off the cold map and isn't jerky. You do feel like a bit of an idiot kangerooing along the High Street! You learn to reduce it...

I think I know what you mean. It's got small longitudinal holes all the way along it. It's the induction pipe which comes from the air filter, round the front of the engine? Yeah? I never did anything with mine. I'm just trying to describe it a bit more for others. :-)

I know what you mean about the sport mode. I just put it in manual shift too, then you can leave it in 5th and 6th etc, instead of 3rd gear which the car thinks is appropriate. Enjoy your new car!
