    Chnging down to 5th Gear

Don't know about adjusting the linkage, just greasing the bushings at the end of the selector cables. One of our technicians is doing it for me, if it needs adjusting he will do it.

    Chnging down to 5th Gear

Mine has just been replaced with NFP. 1st still a bit stiff to engage when cold. Battery coming out on Friday afternoon and I'll be checking and greasing the linkage bushings to see if that helps. I'll report back my findings, fingers crossed it will help

    Replacement Brake Pads and Discs

Agreed, they usually do a couple of part numbers, I replaced the MINI rear discs and pads in Feb. One set of rears had no coating, the other had a black coating. I bought the coated ones and put wheel sealant on them while they were on the worktop. Got all mine from GSF with the 45% off. So 56...

200: Indoor car /dust covers (And other laying-up questions)

I've got a CTEK MXS 5.0 trickle charger. Great bit of kit. I replaced my Optimate IIISP with it. I strategically pick a dry day and take the car out a fair old run to get all the fluids round it and get things up to temp, a/c running etc etc

    F1 season 2017 comments here

I blamed that first corner nonsense on Verstappen. He ran out wide off the track and then came back on the circuit hitting Vettel in the process. Then Hamilton got past Vettel and Vettel tapped the back of Hamilton. The rest of the race was what it was. Verstappen just ran away with it, and...

Gearbox oil changed on Friday to Elf NFP Changes are lovely and smooth, not that they were not smooth before. Just preventative maintenance really - with the knowledge that the gearbox oil is fresh as can be. Will be doing a long ish run in it tomorrow. May whip the battery out later in the...

    John's GW 200

Nice thread John , love the RS200 with the red wheels !!! :sunglasses: Whats your thoughts with the Cooksports? After breaking a front spring on the 182 Cup I replaced all four springs with Cooksports for around the £175 mark, as opposed to £100 a spring for genuine Renault. And Mick @ Diamond...

When I had the Twingo RS it went in to Renault and I got all the way back home (25miles) and wasn't til later that day that I saw all the screws the hold the coil packs on, loose in the scuttle panel. :censored: Mucking fuppets :tearsofjoy:

Which gearbox oil are you using ? (2017)

Might be a guide on here actually. You have to jack car up and remove the n/s front wheel This gives access to the plastic wing nut (filling point) on the side of the gearbox, its screwed in horizontally. The drain plug is underneath the gearbox. Drain the box, then replace the drain plug and...

Which gearbox oil are you using ? (2017)

Just changed mine yesterday from the original oil to Elf NFP. 1st/reverse has been stiff when the box is cold. Disappeared in a five minutes tbh. Trying fresh oil in the box first before doing anything else/living with it. Early indicators are good for the new NFP in the box. I'll be cold...

What you doing around Grantham mate? If you want the full pro detail, there's Adi @ Deep Shine Detail at Lincoln, he produces some superb work, about 35min away from Grantham though, and going north if you're coming from the south. What sort of detail are you looking at and what needs doing...
