Looking forward to seeing updates Ross
I love the black wheels on my LY.
Wheels were standard silver when we bought it for the mrs, and it was the first thing she wanted doing to it.
Other than that, its had fresh new white bulbs in the front and that about it.
(oh and a full machine polish a...
Yep, staff price
Nice find with the SNR ones, wish I had know I would probably have gone for them.
The Pagid's are ok though.
Stop well enough, don't squeal, the Brembo pads seem to like them, and the wheel bearings are fine so far.
Having done it once last week, the second time was reasonably straight forward and now I've done both sides and learnt a bit along the way, I'd be confident to blast through it even faster next time.
Hats off to you for whipping the bumper off :sunglasses:
Well the drivers side dipped headlight blew Friday night this week - balls :rage:
Cant believe it, left and right go within a week of each other.
Those Philips White Vision bulbs look great but are pants for longevity.
So I fitted passenger and driver side dipped today.
Osram Cool Blue Intense...
I really need to replace the sidelights and I've got some nice Philips Ultinon LEDS in 4000k and 6000k that my mate at work gave me.
Hoping these won't be too hard to fit.
Spent a fair amount of this weekend detailing the car.
No pics yet, but I will add them eventually.
Washed with Bilt Hamber auto wash
Iron particles removed with Bilt Hamber Korrosol
Tar removed with Autosmart Tardis
Clayed with Bilt Hamber medium clay
Then fully machine polished using Sonax...
I asked the Renault techie to bleed the clutch and he said they don't like to do it, because if the clutch goes to the floor it ends up being a 'drop the gearbox' job to put it right.
I haven't got a clue really, but if they said they weren't happy to do it I thought it good enough reason not...
Collected the discs last week and painted the hubs at the weekend and had them fitted yesterday.
Really pleased with the paint job on the centres, and they look the business.

Good idea - I had a KTEC/Janspeed exhaust on my 182 Cup which was a beautiful piece of fabrication.
That had splayed straps from the silencer to the pipework - nice touch and gave some re-assurance of strength
Does look a bit pigeon shît tbh.
Powerflow systems are always only as good as the welder that puts them together at the franchise.
For £45 you've got a cheap exhaust.
I'd ask a friendly welder how much he'd want for grinding the welds out, prepping the ends of the pipe again and re-welding...
Had them fitted today.
My mate scoffed a bit at me buying new pins because I said they sometimes corrode in or bend when you try and get them out.
He said if you know that much about them I'm surprised why you don't fit the f*ckers yourself lol
Anyway he cracked on this afternoon...
Capitalised on the continuing nice weather to get the new discs painted out on the drive on Saturday.
Tools:
Brake cleaner
Neoprene gloves
Hammerite Satin Black spray can
Masking tape
Sharp knife
Kneeling pad and some polythene sheet!
First up was painting the Pagid rear discs as these are not...
Not been able to share since I went as I've been unable to login to my Flickr account (along with thousands of others)
God it was a hot day!
Mrs R bought me and my son tickets for my birthday :sunglasses:
Spent most of the day in Club Corner grandstand where I took the pictures from...
