    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Looks great and will no doubt be great to own as well. Stick around, it’ll be good to hear how you’re getting on with it long term and to see how long before things start getting modified.

If Porsche made a hot hatch

It’s already been answered but it’s part of the damper on the fronts. You DO need to use the oem one on the rears though as well as the plastic dust cover. I’ve been running mine without a dust cover on the fronts for a while now and they’re fine.

If Porsche made a hot hatch

I asked the same question when I got mine. Apparently the don’t come with dust boots anymore and they don’t need them.

    Reasonable service intervals?

Well that’s the question that you need to ask buying any car. All you can do is ask the current owner and make a judgement call based off the answer and the condition of the car. But these cars are generally pretty strong engine wise. It might be possible to track down more previous owners...

See if you can find any owners local to you who have different exhausts and see what you prefer?

    Nicole ? Papa ! - Clio 197 F1

Great news, I think I’d struggle to find something to replace it too.

4th gear synchro repair cost or upgrade?

You’d have to get in touch with him personally. I’ve got no idea about it other than seeing a post he put up saying he’s found something.

    Reasonable service intervals?

Personally I’d only be concerned if they’d been used hard a lot in that time. Renault must have known 2 years was fine or they would have kept it at 1.

    Beanys RB 200 cup

From what I’ve heard the wiper motor is riveted on to a bracket. People tend to just cut it off.

    Alarm issues

Check your bonnet alarm plunger bracket. They corrode and may have become misshapen enough to be just triggering.

    My LY 200

Other than accidentally putting the car there I can take absolutely zero credit for it.

I know it might not be the best photo quality wise but this is my favourite one of the day. Not sure if the other guy is on here or not but hello if you are.

The 200’s do sit a little lower than 197’s at motorways speeds - from memory around 3200rpm but if you’ve got a full system with no silencers it’s still going to be loud. Could you not live with a resonated system?

    My LY 200

Probably the most eventful day I’ve done to say the least. I’ve got two sets of wheels, one with AD08’s on and another with PS4’s. Usually I’d have the AD08’s on apart from through the winter. I do keep considering a proper semi-slick just for track but then I like the AD08’s way more than the...

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

Wow that’s bad after such little road use. I thought they’d not be as bad on the road but I guess not. I did a track day a while ago with a mate who had these fitted and the difference in terms of dust between these and my DS1.11’s was night and day - maybe consider them next time if you want...

If Porsche made a hot hatch

I’ve not used them particular pads but I’d guess yes. You can hear DS1.11’s at low speed so I’d guess 3000’s would be similar.

Time for a little update although it’s just one to say freshly re-surfaced tracks are all well and good being grippy and smooth but my god do they kick up some tar!!!!! So most of a bottle of tar remover around the whole car later and.... Overall it was a good day and I’m sure some of you...
