    My LY 200

When I first fitted them (and set them correctly) it did improve the ride a bit and turn in was sharper. I was on cup dampers and h&r springs at the time. I’d recommend them especially if your drop links are in need of replacement anyway. Refreshing with out things will make a huge difference...

    Front ABS bracket

You can just use a p clip if you can’t find any. I think you can only get them new by buying an oem brake line.

Strange for them to change it. I would have said it might have been a mistake but I know someone else who’s got them recently and his were straight ends too. There was also someone else on a Facebook group who had the same issue not long after I did.

Thanks guys, can’t wait to try them properly. The springs are road biased 60/40nm. The car is back on the floor now - first time since March! Had a little issue with the coilovers, I didn’t realise the drop link collars were handed so the wheels were catching on them when you turned them - glad...

    My LY 200

Well it’s time for an overdue coming out of lockdown update. The car is still sat on axle stands but almost back together now. Since the last update I’ve decided to strip the front end down and refresh things when the car wasn’t being used, this has sort of spiralled a bit. Original plan was to...

You’re welcome, I started it as partly to keep track of how it’s changed over the years but glad people are finding it useful. Just seen your post, welcome along and congrats on choosing the best colour [emoji6]

    Forged engine parts

I think engine dynamics sell most if not all you’d need.

    197 Cup F4RT track car

Probably worth asking Rentune, they’ve made their own ones so should be able to answer. Let us know I might do the same if they fit without anything else since I’m about to strip mine down too.

I’d tried that too [emoji23], wasn’t having it! Currently debating doing a full front end refresh at the moment mainly for something to do.

    My LY 200

That was the first thing I’d tried, cut the boot off but couldn’t get the set of grips in well enough to hold it.

    My LY 200

Whilst at it I noticed a bit of play in the drivers side track rod end so decided to replace them. Which has been a non stop battle. The drivers side came off no problem but the passenger side but came about half way off and then it was just spinning the ball joint no matter which way I turned...

    My LY 200

Since the mount got fixed there’s been nothing to report but as a result of the lockdown I’ve been doing various little bits. First was a good wash but now it’s sat for a few weeks it’s covered in dirt again! Next was to do something that’s been annoying me for a while. The wiper arms were...

    My LY 200

Well it’s been a while since I’ve been on here, just read through all the posts I’ve missed, good to see some of the projects still going on. As for mine there’s not been that much happening. I had a strange issue back in January, I had a knock suddenly appear which sounded fairly high up on the...

    Silverstone Edition 200 - AST 5100

Funnily enough I’m convinced mine are brand new too, I just fitted a front set from them a couple of days ago. The machining on all the surfaces is perfect, paint perfect, no signs of any sort of repair.
