    As far as I know, the second line is where the temperature sits under normal driving. Put your foot down or get stuck around town and it will rise to the third line

    I could be wrong, but surely you should be ok with the springs? you have phoned them and told them about it, they told you that it wont affect your insurance - whether that is a mistake on their behalf or not, they have still been informed and told you it wont make a difference.
