How did you choose your Clio

Years ago when I first began my Clio love affair I saw and fell in love with a RB 182 with stripes, thought I'd never own a car like it, wind on a few years and drove past a showroom with a RB182 sitting in the forecourt, went for a test drive in it and gave details never thinking I'd pass the...

    Help Looking for a 197/200

I know it's slightly off topic again (I'm gonna get a rep for this lol) but this is a Gordini, as far as I believe only 500 came to the UK each with a numbered plaque by handbrake. Basically a 200 with cup pack, no extra performance or handling but comes in either blue with white blade and...

    Gordan the Gordini

Thanks for the reply, how many of these mounts are there? And are they an easy job to do or garage job? There's so many things I'm discovering that are beneficial to do to these cars and feeling a bit swamped tbh.

    Help Looking for a 197/200

Ok that makes me feel better lol, mine was smack bang in the middle of that price range and I know being a gordini would mean it's a different ball game I just got bit worried lol. And yeah your last comment @///M also nailed it on the head.

    Help Looking for a 197/200

I'm starting to think I paid a bit much for mine now if you guys are saying 6k is expensive for a 59 plate, mines a 60 plate with approx 40k on the clock, admitted it is a gordini but still...I thought 6k sounded reasonable for that. It may have service history. I got the impression he wants...

    Help Looking for a 197/200

With all the Renaults I've had/driven I think you've nailed that on the head, yes their build quality may not be great compared to German cars etc and are cheaper, but they're cheaper to be sold cheaper, but as I'm sure many would agree on here, look at the smiles the car can give. To me there...

Also depends how far you willing to travel, they are out there but may find you need to look further afield and as mentioned, be patient don't rush into it. As for viewing the ads on here you have to be a paid member etc. But good luck with the search :thumb:

    My 200...an old friend...

Only problem with that method is they've got your money now, so all they could do is give future discount perhaps if they wanted. Which is why I'd have kicked off before making payment lol. But you're happy with the work done and the price so really that's all that matters. :track::thumb:

    Holes?

Ohhhhh mixed wires perhaps, well that's me presuming it's for extra airflow As for the magnets....definitely sounds the best idea I've heard so nice one, quick simple and clean.

    Holes?

Sorry for a possible thread hi-jack but @///M what's the magnetic solution? That means you don't have to drill? And guessing the holes are to increase amount of air flow to radiator etc? As I've also seen some 1*2s with this done on tracks etc
