    Glacier White 200 Cup

The ZPO/OMP tow eye set up is now on the Clio. It has a velcro tab stopping the metal ring flapping about. New boot for the drivers side track rod end that was damaged at Brands Hatch. Ethan had planned to replace the passenger side hub just in case it had suffered any damage as a result...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

We have bought a Zero Point One rear tow eye extender and an OMP tow eye to fit to the rear of the Clio. After being beached in the gravel at Brands Hatch the marshals struggled to find a good way to pull the Clio out of the gravel backwards. They eventually ended up putting some straps round...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

Here are our fastest laps from Brands Hatch last week. @EthanMenace managed a 0m 58s lap. My lap, as always, was slightly slower at 1m 01s

    Front end repairs

We had two front end smashes, one that resulted in a bent chassis leg so we replaced the chassis and another incident where I took the front end off at Snetterton with moderate damage. It looks lie you are missing a few of the radiator shroud plastics.

That’s fine. Tell them not to tighten there nuts too much.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

The track day photos look good. I really like the first photo. Just two Renaults parked next to each other. Whenever Ethan drives to a track day separately in his Megane the Clio seems to have some kind of issue on track. Leaving the pit lane. On Brabham Straight. This photo was a...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

We didn't notice anything wrong until I heard a few clunks during the session when the hub snapped. I am not sure if the track rod end nut was loose but will find out today when the hub is replaced. When I drove it to Brands Hatch for an hour, and the first two sessions of the evening the car...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

We went to Brands Hatch today for a track evening with Track Obsession. The Clio had been sat on the drive since it had come back from Donington Park in March. It had not done any miles on the road during that time. The Clio was given a quick check at the weekend and @EthanMenace found that...

    197/200 subframe locating pins

These are a few photos of my subframe with solid subframe bushes. @turkie172 is usually right about these technical issues.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

The white unpainted tap washer blank has now been painted gloss black. Not only is @EthanMenace blessed with mechanical skills he is okay at painting too! I have been away this weekend but if this sunny weather continues I might just wash the Clio and polish the roof like I threatened to...

    The High Mileage Track car

I used MRFs a few years ago but found that after a lot of heat cycles they just went hard and lost their grip even though there was a lot of tread left. But, the MRFs I used were secondhand and could be have been through way too many heat cycles before they went on my car.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

@EthanMenace sorted out two issues with the Clio today. The first was the rear AeroCatch brackets. We bought the brackets for the boot lid years ago when we had electrical problems that stopped the rear boot lock from working. We did not bother to paint the brackets when they were installed...

    Temperature gauge

The temperature gauge should sit between the second and third markers. It always looks as if the car is cool even when it is up to temperature, The Clio does not measure oil temperature in a way that you can read it from a dongle. If you want to know what temperature the oil is you will need to...
