MCR specialist cars sorted out mine as it went like that within warranty. Box was sent to a specialist in Bristol and that alone cost £500 to replace 3rd and 4th syncrhos. Don't know how much they would of charged in labour but I imagine it would be about the same as the refurb.

The Megane! £42k on a hot hatch is ridiculous. With that money... I'd buy a Nissan GT-R and spend the £5k in change you would have on learning how to drive it round the Nurburgring...

Once the switch for the reversing lights was replaced, this solved the problem. Back to foot on brake to start.

Could be? I wouldn't know. When you get in it, it is Press Brake + Start, which I do. It then tells me to Select Neutral like it thinks it is in gear. Driving home after work found that you can just go straight for the clutch, just odd how it use to do it with the brake before the gear box...
