My 2008 08 plate GW has developed a slight whining noise, and i believe its the gearbox bearings, as the same noise occurred in my mini, which inevetibly caused the gearbox to go. The problem i have is that my warranty expired in April, what do you think my options are?? other than to pay for...

Yep, roll on spring.My insurance expires in May, so will finally be able to swap to one which allows modifications without having to be aged 25!!! :-)

I did mine. It's very time consuming and the outcome isnt bad! The best way to get rid of the sealant is to disconnect all the wiring and bake them in the oven for around 8 minutes. Then remove the sealant with a small screwdriver. I sprayed my inserts matt black, put them back together and...
