I wouldn't say it's over moderated in such a sense but the general attitude of the club is much more behaved and grown up versus other forums I.e cliosport. So when someone who's a bit loud or pushy with their opinions starts posting and offending I think there's very little tolerance for it...

Should have been your responsibility to check the service manual when purchasing. If the stamps are there from Renault or another specialist the work should be okay but if it's a back street garage any old crap could be in there.

No I appreciate the reply. The mrs has a 225 and I regularly borrow that for work ;) Personally I absolutely love the 225 to some extent even more than my 265. The 172 is like a little chuckable go kart and the 265 is a steam train on the straights but just too bulky to throw about a country...

These things go like stink in a straight line but I hear so many stories of them being a nightmare in the corners? Followed one round brands once and it looked like he was having a real fight with under steer?

I always thought they wouldn't put harness holes in place unless the seats could take the strain of them during a crash. Surely there would be legal implications as they have the fitment for harnesses but don't specify anywhere they aren't suitable?

Undoubtably quicker with it off IF you have the talent to control the car yourself during slides etc. However I put my cars worth before my pride because I know I'm not good enough to save it when things go wrong. On the ring IMO it'd just be silly to turn it off.

Saved me many a time when I lost it on track days in my 197, I found it to be priceless. Should be called the driving god switch lol
