Power-delivery-wise very similar in that you have to get to the top of the rev band to release the bhp's. My Elise is the 189hp or so Toyota 1.8, with a second cam that comes in at around 5,500RPM, feels a little like a turbo-boost. Also in factory guise, neither engine sounds that amazing...

Well, after nearly two years of happy ownership, and mostly on impulse I've replaced the Clio. It was a shame to see it go as it was a great drive and gorgeous looking, really well looked after, too. It's a shame I couldn't justify keeping it but with a weekend toy already there wasn't a place...

Woh - what a spot! Yeah,she's mine. Thanks for the comments. It's got the anthracite pack- it's 2nd hand so it was spec'd by the previous owner. Not sure I would have paid the extra myself, but now I'm kind of used to it and it does make it a bit more individual. Needs a bit of a spring clean...

I love the LY paint

Mine started to melt at the end of last summer, in the 10/2 o'clock positions. Just before the three year warranty was due, I took it to my local dealer and they replaced it with no quibble.

Spotted you today on St Peters Drive. at about 4:00ish, I was making the most of a dry spell in the Elise.

I think I spotted yours again Tom.....though I guess if outside your house it may not count as a spot....I was taking the baby for a walk the other day and saw one suspiciously like yours at the end of a cul-de-sac close to me.

Thanks Tom, nice of you to say. It's just turned 3 but still feels like a newish car. I wouldn't have spec'd the skirts/anthracite/sat nav, but Recaros/cup chassis/yellow pack and paint job I couldn't have done better. It can REALLY do with a proper clean though!! How's yours running?
