    The High Mileage Track car

I have no experience of using a helical style diff in a Clio. There are a few users on this site have got helical diffs in their Clios. The Gripper is a plated diff and my understanding is that it is more aggressive, but with that added aggression you get noise. My car sounds broken when it...

Here are some more of Martin's photos. The Clio going through Bombhole. By the end of the day I managed to go through this corner flat in fourth. Clio train coming through Brundle and Nelson. Bridge shot. Front end squat. Here is some evidence of my overtaking another car.

The Clio went to Snetterton today for a Sunday track day. The Clio had last been used on a track day about 3 months ago at the end of June 2025 so a track day was well overdue. The Clio had had its interior stripped and we had installed new PMS top mounts since the last track day. We had also...

@EthanMenace Has not fiddled with the Gripper yet. But I am sure with a few technical tips he could do it.

Yes. We had a “medium” Gripper and wore it out after about 2 and a half years and 20ish track days. The new plates were only about £150 to replace (as a part) - it was done at the same time as a gearbox rebuild to replace some synchros which we then had to rebuild again after a slave failure...

Get a diff - it will make a big difference. It should stop your wheels from spinning up when you are accelerating when exiting a corner, and it will give you more grip when you are going "full beans" round fast sweeping corners.

If I had a UK version of your Clio, which was labelled as a "Raider" in the UK, I would not have done many of the modifications that have been done to my car. You get to a point with a track car when you become quite destructive to make it perform better on a track. Once you get to that point...

Our front wheels are already eating our arch liners and are gently rubbing away part of the front bumper - this started happening when when switched to softer front springs. The extra caster may cause some more rubbing but as the car is more of a track car than anything else I am not too worried...

We drove the car over to AW Motorworks today to get the Clio aligned so it would drive straight at Snetterton on 28th September after the front suspension had been taken off of the car and the PMS top mounts installed. I did drive the car after it had been stripped and the noise levels were...

    Silverstone Edition 200 - AST 5100

I moved from a KTec induction kit to a V6 box and thought that the V6 box made a good noise but not a loud, or, really noticeable induction noise.

    OEM vs YellowStuff pads

The DS2500s were okay, they were even used for a few track days. I don’t really have anything to compare them to as we just put better pads in the Clio for track use. Something sounds wrong with your brake setup as you should have a firm pedal - but you already know that.

    OEM vs YellowStuff pads

If you have had not changed your brake fluid for a year you could flush out the old brake fluid and replace it with something like Motul RBF660. Brake fluid will absorb moisture over time. I am a firm believer in buying quality products so I would always go for the more expensive option. A...
