Electrical problems!

So ive had a couple of electrical issues… one being the hazards. I seem to leave the car 5 minutes and the hazards are going off. Ive removed the UCH and checked it and everything seems to be fine. Ive also removed and cleaned the multiplug under the passenger carpet. But the hazards still flash, even when i open the car they dont stop you have to physcially press the switch. My next issue, my fob isnt working, i have to press it multi times before it works, i believe this could be a faulty/dying battery in the fob itself but i havent tried sorting it yet, any help is greatly appreciated.

The under bonnet switch might not be working correctly and when you lock the car the alarm should sound if you have left it open or not fully closed. The key fob battery is a CR2025 some people force a CR2032 battery in and stretch the key shell also the transmission coil in the key fob can break the solder joint due to people sitting and bending the keycard when in their pockets or has went through the washing machine. Check the scuttle drains are not blocked and there is no water in the driver and passenger footwells under the carpet foam as the main loom is up the passenger side.

My alarm keeps going off and I have been told it could be due to the multi plug needs cleaning.

Can you give me any more info on how to find the mulit plug, is it under the passenger side at the front of the car, or at the back seats. Any help much appreciated.

Going to have a search for it over the weekend, but any help to find it would make it much easier

Its on the passengers side, if you pull the carpet up you should find it, its under the trim by the door, i found water was making it was in from the scuttle panel causing the issue, i cleaned the scuttle panel out and it all worked prefectly, make sure to change your key fob battery i had the same issue and both of the fixes seem to sort the issue

hope this helped

Amazing thanks, I will have a look over the weekend when I get some time. I have replaced the key fob batteries, one of mine works okay the other seems to have a weak signal so I am going to look into that as well. I cleaned the scuttle panel out the other week and it had made it better for a while but it has now started again.

It seems to get worse when the temperature drops, probably because the air in the car is changing as it freezes.

The next step for me I think is to move the sensor cables over as I heard this can lower the sensitivity. If you have any info on how to do this or a link to a guide that would be really helpful.

Thanks for your help on this, its really aggravating for me, let alone all my neighbours :tearsofjoy:
