Oil pump.

anyone have information on the oil pump on a 197? Are they a known problem? Are they an easy job to replace?

chain driven in the sump - not had many issues where i used to work for the bottom ends but there have been a few on here

yours got low pressure?

Not that i know of... was just researching. My 197 has just had all its belts doneand was thinking maybe i should have had the oil pump done aswell? Is it expensive to do? I see the part is only £50-80.

i wouldnt touch it to be honest if there isnt pressure issues - have you checked the pressures?

low pressure can be worn main bearings / sticking pressure valve or just a worn pump

i wouldnt disturb anything if its all ok
