Oil Pump & Track Preparation

I dunno if I'm being over cautious but I'm concerned about things breaking on track. This year is the first I'll be taking my own car out.

Cars in good shape, good history. 70k on the clock, no issues.
Booked in for cam belt, water pump and dephaser end of the month.

Good oils to go in both engine and gearbox as advised by Opie.

Im going to take the sump off as I think it's got a slight leak from the gasket anyway. Check the pick up pipe mesh is clear.

Just wondering if I should be putting in a new oil pump or maybe the Pure Motorsport high flow pump or am I just being over cautious? Just seen a few examples in the last few months of spinning bearing etc.

Also how big a job is it? Just a case of sump off, unbolt old pump and fit new careful into chain?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks

The only reason I did my oil pump is because it has 170k miles on it and it was purely going to be used on track. Was waiting for months for parts from Renault. Definitely an over cautious thing to do
