KTR Induction Kit and remap, or KTR Panel Filter and remap??

As above guys...

I am in two minds and really can't decide, so hoping someone may have had to make the same decision or have done either so can advise visa versa.

Currently I have a full Scorpion back with decat and K&N panel filter to compliment this.

So do I....

1) KTR Induction kit + Remap:
  • Pros:
    • Noise
    • Throttle response
    • Not just hearing exhaust noise (Balance fun sounds :drunk:)
    • Looks pretty
  • Cons:
    • Heat soak like a mo fo
    • Cost
2) KTR Panel Filter + Remap:
  • Pros:
    • Better than my K&N
    • Throttle Response improves slightly
    • Heat soak won't be as bad
    • Cost
  • Cons:
    • Not as nice sounding?
    • Doesn't look pretty
    • Just have exhaust noise until 5k

I'll find the vid of me coming up the pit straight at Spa, sounds brilliant with the induction kit. Never heard it from outside the car before the Belgium trip last month and I spent the whole three days being told how nice it sounded - it really does sound epic!! You will need the remap though for sure.

Sounds so good inside or out the cabin. Wish I still had mine

Ha ha ha, Yeh the one on my 172 Cup was pretty RaceCar!

You bloody guys.... this is supposed to be my daily, not a money pit racecar!

Don't buy the KTR kit mate.

Buy a daily snotbox for the same money and get to work on the Clio.

Dude, I would love to, only I have a nipper on the way!

Selling my A4 tdi sport for this reason... I mean the A4 doesn't have isofix, the Clio does! So it seemed like the best, most sensible move, right?

There's other factors too, it's not boring, cheaper to fix if/when it brakes, I actually like it so will look after it, but we digress...

So, induction + remap Vs panel and remap... In true D&D style:

- smiles per mile = +10
- loss of shiny (gold pieces) = -200
- racecar factor = +10
- no more making pretend bwaaa noise to the wife = +10
- power loss due to heat soak = -4

Not sure if I've forgotten anything important, but I think all bases are covered?

Let's move this along now... I will ban you if you don't get the KTR kit and remap

Case closed - you're welcome! :admin:

There's a heat shield that does a reasonable job to be fair.

"no more making pretend bwaaa noise to the wife" BRILLIANT mate!
