RS Megane MK4

So what are your thoughts on the new Megane then? Surprised to see there are no comments here?

I personally like it a lot, not the interior but the way it looks (and that comes from someone who dislike 2 doors too many hatchbacks). Engineering wise is a breath of fresh air and the fact that they've focused on driving pleasure is something to be embraced.

Suspension trickery sounds very good indeed assuming the CUP is as focused as needed which would mean that they might have now nailed the best of both worlds platform?

Also, the 4 wheel steering sounds very promising indeed. Turn in and rear playfulness as far as I can tell from the videos are really really good. I'd love to give it a go.

Yet to read a review regarding the manual gearbox but from an on board camera it looks quality, with a very short throw to be a normal day in the office.

Shame they overdid it in the interior with all this gimmicks...

My spec would be trophy, orange, CUP, 18" wheels (obvs), alcantara pack, (manual is a given).

I personally believe that it looks much better than any of the competition and offers even more. Good story.

my spec : cup - alcantara - manual - probably go for a dullish colour like titanium grey and look for some nice 18" silver aftermarket wheels. still no fan of the headlights. they look too contrived, too 'design'.

there's a trophy by the end of the year. it's supposed to have a more powerful engine, but haven't read what else.

if i had the money and was in the market for an 'uber' hatch, this one would be top of the list. that said, i've seen some spy shots of the new mercedes AMG A35. didn't look half bad and much better than the current model.

Wasn't sure when I saw the first pictures, but it has really grown on me. I love it! Unlike @jamesgw200 I am a fan of the red touche s on the Trophy, but then anyone who knows my car could probably have guessed that!

i like the red but not on just a trophy. If it was a stripped out trophy R then yeah. I dunno just looks a little cheap?
i have red wheels so :wink:
