197: belt changes, good price?

my 5 year service is coming up later on in the year and I've already been scouting around.

it's going to need the aux and cam belts doing as the car is sitting at 27k
I've got 2 quotes at the moment for the work from specialists.

Just wondering what a good/resonable price would be?
 
I'm going to get parts off twingo off here, and i then my renault specialist is going to charge £120 for fitting, apparently 5-6hours work i think Roy said to me. So roughly £250 for everything which i think is damn good!

Wheres this renault specialist, are they local and anygood
 
Amblecote by laser quest, two young lads one with a 182, one with a R26, so they know there renaultsports, they both worked at renault wolvo.
I had my service done there and new pads fitted, Roy has also had stuff done there I think, they are good and know what theyre doing.
 
I've just been quoted 800 for a service and belts changing on my 197 by Renault specialist Leeds!

Seems steep to me!

they are excellant mate mine goes there my sons Trophy and theres allways RS there they work 7 days a wk they are so busy Luke takin his there+they dont rip you off

Thats about what I got quoted for mine from a specialist. seemed like a fair whack and just wanted to see what others had been quoted.
 
£450 from the nearest specialist to me, include the usual full service as well as the belt change.

Not too bad I don't think. :smile:
 
They only have 172/182 prices up on the website but I'm sure they said around £450 when I spoke to them.

They're called Northwest Performance and seem to be pretty popular on renaultsport.co.uk although there's one or two people on here that don't like them. But, I suppose every garage has a few people with tales to tell on the internet. I'm there on Tuesday for the 4 Year Service and an MOT, they seem a good pair of lads and Alan who I spoke to on the phone was well clued up and very polite etc..

That is a good quote mate, especially from a dealer as well. :thumbup1:

What dealer did you go into for that price?
 
Northwest Performance in Northwhich, they do 172/182s for £430 if you know anyone in need. :smile:
 
5 years they need to be done so depends when yours was registered.
my 56 plate is due in January (5 years, first registered jan 07) but I'm getting them done December to be safe.

aux belt should have already Been done at 36k for you as that came before 5 years.
