Standard System blowing?

Mine was blowing...turned out to be a rotten U clamp (I'm sure foxspeed will know what I'm on about) from the front of the system. Apparently they're a common clamp to fail after a while. Cost me less than a tenner to get fixed.

Cold and hot, or just cold?
My car blows when it is cold, but in warm engine nothing.

Both. Faulty clamp so just blew all the time...I only found out cos they told me when I had an mot

I may get a second opinion then as mine was diagnosed as the flexi pipe has gone /going and its going to cost close to £400 to sort

Flexis are common though, so could be them.

Tell you what i won't be getting a second opinion from the local Renault dealer in Pontefract..

Car is well out of warranty and they want to do a diagnostic before they check it at £72 pah
i'd rather peel my eyeballs and pour vinegar in them why would they want that after i recently had a service? Their loss won't be rushing back.
