Help wanted: The End of the dream

Sounds awesome Mike - remember though, if you get paid more, their standard of living costs will most likely be higher...

Like in the UAE where everyone gets paid a **** tonne, but everything costs a **** tonne.

Also the same in Singapore and a few areas of SE Asia.

If thats your dream and your young enough to give it a go, no ties etc you should be off like a shot.

If you don't, in years to come you'll be saying 'what if'

No doubt that things cost more...it is proportionate to the income.

Just yesterday, I saw Baked Beans advertised at a reduced price of CHF 3.35 which is £2.25!!!

Gonna try and see what HR say about it!

Bloody terrified in a way lol!!!

Started learning vital UPS phrases in German now too :wink:

Thought of another "vs" thing:

Swiss looks grey with a blue sign, the other looks like dodgem cars!!! with a dare you risk it lane!!!!!!

Mike, forget Swaziland or Switzerland or wherever...

Get a transfer to The Fun Factory up in Eccles.

We speak Northern, easier to learn than Swissish!

Update 30/05

Well, UPS will not recognise my 7 years of service, so I would be going there as a new-to-the company person. So new starter pay, new starter holiday, pension etc etc.

For this reason only, I won't be going to Switzerland - I am a little irritated by this situation to say the least, but everything happens for a reason!!!

So no clio197.ch/clio200.ch for now
