Gearbox interchangable?

Evening all

I bought a 197 a few weeks ago, I got it cheap as a pt ex from my sis who has a garage. The gearbox syncro has gone, (crunches when going into 4th) not too bothered as boxes are cheap enough. I see that there are 2 variants for the box, will either box fit the 197 or does it have to be a like for like replacement?
The 2 boxes are below,

I have a 56 plate clio,

Sorry for those who view this as a simple question but I just drive and dont fix so havent a clue

If they are interchangable which one would you guys suggest, price isnt an issue as only £50ish between the two

Also, how long to change a box, have a mech friend whom I will get to do the spannering, just like a heads up before I agree a price

Thanks in advance

You want the 024. Longer ratio for 6th.

And around about 5 hours. I think Renault say 5.1 or something.

I'd do the clutch etc if I was you as well...

That's a brand new gearbox for that price!??

i haven't read the add properly

tbf they are all interchangeable

Yeah, only the ratios are different.

I've got one of them gearboxes ready to be fitted in the next few months. Going to bang in a new clutch at the same time.

I fear the Akra brought a premature end to 4th gear :worried:

Bought it today, got a bit of discount buying over the phone, all in all with a clutch il have this done all in for £600 so no complaints

Now to get that de-cat pipe ordered
