Hi guys

Looking at the engine from the front. There is a sensor of some sort right next to the number 1 coil. What is this sensor for? The seal looks wet.

should i worry about the rubber seal looking abit wet?

put it this way - it shouldnt be wet/leak...

are you sure it isnt the cam carrier bolts near the spark plug holes - they can leak/weep oil from them - quite a common fault on fr4 engines :chair:

fox any idea how to change this seal? i got a replacement but the old one looks like its bonded against the hole over the years. scrape it off?

mmm i think theres a special tool to fit the seal - not changed one myself - maybe worth having a word with a dealer/specialist first

Would you please be so kind -if possible- to provide a picture of this, so I can locate the vvt system oil supply valve exactly?

thx

i am unable to upload pics but its right next to the number 1 coil which is right behind the yellow oil cap. a bolt actually hold both the coil and solenoid in place.
