Has anyone tried EBC Orangestuff on their Clio?

I was about set on CL RC5+ but I've seen a few people mention squeal which is something I'm really keen to avoid.

I know a couple of people who use the Oranges on different road/track cars and speak highly of them. They don't squeal on their cars either which is promising.

Sorry I know iam going to get it in the the head but FAST ROAD ????????? give me a clue I know iam old and slow but in lighten me please tx OLD MAN

An occasional daily or weekend car that sees the odd track day but primarily is used and enjoyed as a road car.

The term Clubsport is a banded around, but that's basically the idea. Not track cars, but modified to be enjoyed on the road with occasional track use.

Not too compromised on the track, but not hindered by track modifications on the road. A nice balance.

The brakes on my newly purchased RS200 Cup were far from strong on the test drive, a good inspection when I got home showed very worn pads and putted discs.

So I have ordered

XP10 Pads (front)
Brembo Pads (rear)
Brembo Discs (front)
Pagid Discs (rear)
Goodridge hoses all round
New pins etc.

Hopefully that get things back to how they should be

HEL Braided lines all round
standard discs and pads on the rear
Brembo h/c discs front
mintex F2R pads
motul 660 fluid

If anyone is looking for an upgrade to the ferrodo ds2500 then try the mintex F2R'S

I wouldn't touch ebc with a 10ft bargepole utter shite and the most inconsistent pad ive ever used. anyone who says there brilliant really hasn't tested enough other makes of pads.

the cl rc5's are pricey, id personally try the Mintex F2R very very good

Another pad to throw in that I was super impressed with is PBS ProRace, for the money they're amazing! I got suggested them from a few people on here, so I took a punt when someone posted up a new set for much cheaper, I still have them on the car now, they're brilliant!

I am in the middle of making a decent sized order for suspension and brake parts and wondered whether people were using 4 or 6 braided hoses? From what I understand the car to beam hoses own the rear are braided as standard so I could buy the '4 kit' and save some money - was previously considering the 6 line kit - Any thoughts welcome please

I have the 6 line kit but if your rear solid lines are in good nic then I’d get the 4 line kit

Sorry for this numpty question - Lots of good feedback above on discs, pads and braided lines etc which is great but...

Q. For the standard Clio 3 RS200 with Cup pack with Cup wheels. Has cage plus Gripper etc. But brakes are pretty much stock.
- can I order and fit; larger discs such as AP330mm with Ferodo DS2500 without any problem? I mean will they still fit with the standard Brembos etc? I am trying to keep things simple so thinking better discs + pads + braided lines. Rather than go out for a big brake kit. But unsure about any potential gotcha's.

-At Goodwood after a few laps I had judder etc after braking for Fordwater and Lavant. I had to do a cool down lap to try and stop them juddering.Clio-Cup - 1 (3).jpeg

You can't order larger discs and retain the standard Brembo caliper in the OEM mounting position. You'd need to move the caliper outwards radially. Even then, retaining the OEM Clio Brembo calipers on a larger 330mm disc is probably not worth it as you are not gaining any pad surface area to use on the bigger discs.

An option for you is to install the Mk3 Megane Brembo caliper and a larger disc.

You'll then get a 330mm disc, with a larger Megane pad surface area. The Godspeed kit comes with caliper spacers to move the caliper out from the OEM Clio mounting point to work with the larger 330mm disc,
