Boot Latch Problem

After some 'spirited' driving over the last few days, I have noticed that the boot is making a knocking noise over slight bumps in the road. Do I move the catch towards the front or the rear of the car to solve the problem?

I've got the same mate, Renault are incapable of fixing the problem, so will have to do it I think. If I remember correct from a thread I read a while ago, you need to bring the catch closer to the front of the car. It'll make the boot harder to close, but should hold it against the stops better.

right then this is tomorrows task ! I will give it a go and see what happens, cheers dude. Its just really annoying me.

:s I have this problem too, Renault couldn't fix it, so another three :s:s:s faces for them!

Just undo it and move it forward as above, put a little grease on there to dampen any movement and job done.

To make sure it is tailgate and not something else go over a bumpy road with tailgate open...
