Air con? will i miss it?

Its in the front passenger side footwell up behind the the centre consol on the engine bulkhead in the heater air box.
Push the pasenger seat right back then lay in car and look up behind centre consol(a torch comes in handy at this point.) There is a small plastic tag on the filter at the bottom(see diagram below) ,when removing use the tag to pull the filter out with pliars.

Then just push the new one in using your hand to guide under heater pipes.Takes 2 mins.

BTW the filter sits verticaly not horizontal as shown here.Tag to the bottom .

The pollen /cabin filter really helps my hayfever with the recirculation on and air con on 15 which on mine is blowing out cold air at 4.5 degrees c

Changing the cabin filter sounds easy enough doesn't it! Makes you wonder why Renault charge so much for a service! Lol! The Air filter is a breeze too!

Nice one stormbringer

I didnt actually realise the car had one, will have to do mine at 6 months as i get hayfever quite badly.

You are right ,when you think it has discs all round as well so pads are very easy to check. Spark plugs and oil and filter are no problem so once out of w'tee I'll do all my own sevice work.

There is always the option of not going to renault? is the main reason people go to them instead of independent garages for a future selling point?

I would say so. There is nothing better than telling someone it has a full dealer service history. It speaks for it's self as well, the owner has paid over the odds to make sure it is serviced and cared for by the people who made it in the first place!

Although there are some places that have a good name for themselves, like Four Ashes Renault Speacialsts just outside Wolverhampton.

I dont take mine to Renault, Im all for saving a quid on a job that is done at the same standard as the garage.

Wheres the best place to buy pollen filters ?

with my fabia i used a local vw specialist, it was half the price of VW and the interaction was far far better than skoda, more personal and liked to talk about your car

dont know any renault specialists near me tho, (holmfirth)
