Updates of my Gordini [No. 434]

UPDATE:

The Gordinis are given a number when they are built and then when they come into England they are reassigned a UK number. Mine was supposedly 'missed' and they have offered to to give it another number.

Its really annoying Renault UK do this! They did the same on the Clio V6 255s! At least with the Gordini and the R27 they are using a nice plaque, as sadly on the V6s the took off the nice metal plaques and stuck on a really cheap and nasty plastic one, which in mine is stating to come off!

They also didnt dispose of the old original plaques properly as theres a bloke on ebay selling loads of them!

I and several others in the club bought a few in the idea of trying to track down and match them back with the cars they came off, but sadly after several emails to Renault France and Renault UK it seems that neither keep and records of chassis number to build numbers!!

I bet they are still not keeping records now, which makes the numbers plaques seem really pointless and a waste of time!

I don't want the new number, they offered me a new plaque but I've asked to keep 434. They are going to get back to me.. we'll see what happens though.

I dont blame you, I wouldnt change it either, thats the number it was built with and thats the one it should keep, as said Id love to find out what my original number was on my V6!

Got a few pictures of the new black vents and my smaller plate from my 182. The plate still has the holes in so I'm going to order another one pretty soon.

My SLR battery was dead so I got the compact camera out. Enjoy:

UPDATE:

I swapped my white Gordini mirror covers with Fernandez a few moths ago, I put a thread in the media section but there will be a few things added to the car soon so I'll keep the updates in here.

Nice pics, was that the very last Midlands Breakfast Club last month? Wanted to go, but I went to see Example on the Saturday night in Birmingham and I couldn't find it in myself to get up early enough to get there in time.

Yeah it was the last one. It was windy and cold which meant I had trouble motivating myself for it so I don't blame you mate.

Im not normally a fan of the gordini. Bit there is something about this one that is just pure awesome!! Just cant put my finger on it . . . .
