When will you change the cambelt?

I know recommended time is 5 years or 72k, will you wait this long or get it done early? Having not had a renault before I have no idea if their intervals are safe or pushing it a bit?

My May '07 has just ticked over 34k, I'll be changing the cambelt May '12. There's no way I'll have hit 72k by then but better safe than sorry.

i would like to imagine that renault themselves would have been a bit conservative with the time frame, so they don't get a bad reputation for that car.

mines due this year.....only done 23000 :closedeyes:

but it will be changed along with the aux/fan belt

Anybody know the approximate dealer cost for having this done? Mine will be Oct 2012 but I like to plan ahead where possible!

Dealer will be mega money, specialist will be about £400-500

I'll wait another year before doing mine then
