What intercooler are you guys running?

I’m looking to map mine ASAP but I’m being told that the 225 intercooler is useless.

What you guys running and what power you running?

I suppose we should also mention what turbo also

I used an Airtec for a megane 225 it nearly fitted straight on just had to trim a bit of the bottom scoop and a couple of bits of plastic under the bumper

Who’s insuring you all? I assume you are informing of engine swap.
Person I bought it off decided to insure as a standard 197 - not my style at all!

I’m 41 3yrs ncb £348. 5000miles per year

As long as it's a bar and plate intercooler it'll be fine. Not a a tube and fin. Doesn't have to be an expensive one either. The spec you Need to get somewhere around the 300bhp/300lb/ft is the intercooler,
630cc injectors, 3" exhaust system including the down pipe. And a meg mk3 250/265 T15 turbo.

I have a cheap intercooler but it's a tube and fin, so the charge temps creep up quickly, still made 304.8bhp and 298lb/ft. It's ok for driving about but no good for the track!

Didn't know until I had it mapped. Learnt a lot along the way.

Explained I have 4 cars and it won’t be often but they wouldn’t budge. Rules are the rules I suppose.

Anyway... ended up arranging though flux - 39 - decent postcode - mirrored no claims from other provider. £315
