what fluid smells like cat pee?

just done an engine transplant and complete overhaul of brake lines, power steering etc, and there a drip coming from the front end of the car, i know what most fluids smell like but this is a new one :S only thing i can think of is the coilovers as i've never smelt that oil before and i cant pinpoint the location becuase its all a bit greasy tbh.

anyone know have any ideas?

gearbox oil/diff oil smells like that
cant be power steering oil as the steerings electric!
could be damper oil but if its dripping must be bad :thumbdown:

possible brake fluid?

only other is aircon lube oil but not smelt that one :huh:

Diff'/Gearbox Oil can also be described as having a hint of onion in the flavour!!!

It's not fluid from the air con system is it?

Only reason i ask is that i used to get that type of smell in my alfa when i'd not used it for a few days, it's an ammonia type of smell.

its a 92 civic btw but figured fluids fluid so wouldnt matter, its yellow and smells of cat be but is on opposite side of the box and doesnt look like its coming out of the shaft but is deffinately dripping from the car and not just parked over a patch of piss lol
